Sunfold Launch the 'Front Door Configurator'
See your home with a 'NEW' Front Door with Sunfold's Front Door Configurator - 28.01.2010
Sunfold have now launched our website based ‘Front Door Configurator’, allowing you to see the impact a new high quality, high security, thermally efficient and sound deadening front door will have on your home. With the Sunfold configurator you can select all the options and requirements you want for your new door. You are able to choose your door layout, input the sizes, select a design style and apply a finish. Then once complete you can upload an image of your house to see what it will look like as your new front door. If you’re not happy with your choices, change them or start over, but once complete you can easily print the results out for future reference or email them to us to provide you with an accurate price for your selection.

New Square Profile SFK70 System Launched
The SFK70 gets new, clean and contemporary ‘square’ edges - 08.01.2010
We can now offer our customers all the benefits of our market leading SFK70 thermally broken aluminium folding sliding door system but incorporated with ‘square’ edge details. The square profiles have been added to the systems design around the inside and the outside of the glazed opening in each panel. This offers you the option of a clean contemporary style that suits the trend of the modern architectural and design markets.
As standard the SFK70 will continue to be supplied with the softer rounded edge etails, but for those customers that prefer a sharper edge, the square detail is available upon request.
Saturday Showroom Openings for 2010
Our London, Chiswick Showroom will open the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month through 2010 – 04.01.2010
Following our successful trial at the end of 2009 we have decided to continue to open our London, Chiswick Showroom on the first and third Saturday of every month through 2010. The showroom will be open to appointments made between 10.00am and 2.00pm for these days. We kindly ask customers to make an appointment to ensure that our colleagues give you their full attention on your visit and so that visits do not clash. Please contact us to arrange a convenient time.
Saturday appointments are also available at our Head Office, Norfolk Showroom but at pre-arranged times only. We will not be open on specific Saturdays but please contact us to arrange a convenient date and time for your visit.
Sunfold Systems and Concept 2 Construction
Sunfold and Concept2Construction introduce the ‘Cedar Home’ - 30.10.2009
Concept2Construction undertakes most types of domestic building work, from extensions and loft conversions to complete new-build homes, in Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey. They have recently unveiled their ‘Cedar Home’ new build project that incorporates a full range of Sunfold external products. Included are SFK70 three panel folding sliding doors, aluminium Tilt-turn windows, fixed glazing and high security Adeco front door.
The design and finishing of Concept2Constructions project stood out to us because of the way that their project focussed shows our products in a high quality well designed environment. ‘Our aim when embarking on any project is to ensure that the finished project is both aspirational and functional. Sunfold and In-doors at The National Home Improvement Show and Interbuild
Successful Show experiences at Earls Court and the NEC – 26.10.2009
This month (October 2009) we exhibited at The National Home Improvement Show at Earls Court London and a couple of weeks later with Interbuild 09 at the NEC Birmingham. Both shows were successful for us but the National Home Improvement Show stood out the most as it was Sunfold and In-doors first London based show since Grand Designs 2007.
We will be considering the possibility of revisiting The National Home Improvement Show in October 2010, along with attending a London based trade show in addition to our regular appearance at the National Homebuilding and Renovating Show at the NEC in March.

Sunfold Magnetic Panel Catch
New Magnetic Panel Catch Unique to Sunfold Systems - 13.08.2009
We have now launched our New, Unique and Stronger Panel Catch. The new magnetic panel catch will now be supplied as standard with all our main range of folding sliding doors. A panel catch is required when your chosen configuration incorporates an odd number of panels in a train ending with a pass door that swings freely. Having a pass door allows quick exit and entry, but could be caught by the wind and slam or swing back against the other panels when it is not secured. The new Sunfold magnetic panel catch has been designed to combat this and hold the door in place with more strength than other catches available or previously used. The new design is visually unobtrusive, matched to other components, protected against corrosion, requires no maintenance for continued high performance and most of all helps prevent the possible damage caused by a slamming door.
The new magnetic catch has an anodised aluminium casing that is supplied in silver or black to match your choice of anodised hinges. The casing protects the high strength magnets but at the same time provides full marine protection for use in saline environments. Additional protection is offered with the concealed fixings so no screw heads are seen or open to the elements to incur corrosion.

The SFS44 folding sliding door saves energy consumption and the environment! Now our office lights do! - 15.06.2009
We have recently introduced energy saving LED lighting to replace all the standard tube ceiling lights we previously had in our Norfolk Head Office. These LED lights use as little as 20% of the energy that is required to power the units that they replaced. This helps reduce our energy consumption and costs, plus have the follow on benefit of helping the environment. Additionally the units emit a natural, whiter light that provides our offices a more welcoming, brighter atmosphere. For before and after comparison images of one of our offices click here.

Sunfold at Grand Designs Live 2009 with Potton Zone

A selection of Sunfold products were on show at the Grand Designs Live 2009 exhibition as part of the Potton Zone stand in the Grand Village.
We were displaying a 'thermally broken' aluminium folding sliding door system, our ‘Caverro’ high security front door and all glass ‘Luana’ internal door set.
Sunfold products are being supplied as part of the Potton Zone projects that are designed as a building for you garden that should not require any planning permission. The Zone can be used as a studio, office, gym, games room or just additional space. The Potton Zone will soon be on display at the National Self Build and Renovation Centre in Swindon.

New thermally efficient folding sliding door with U-Value of under 1.1
The SFS44 Low U-Value Folding Sliding Door - 23.02.2009
Our New SFS44 high insulation aluminium folding sliding door system allows you to open entire walls while achieving U-Values more than a third under current building regulations.
Triple glazing and its highly insulated aluminium profiles give U-Values as low as 1.1. With the possibility to reduce this further it is an external product must with the energy concerns that we have today. In addition the sightlines remain extremely slim (108mm) compared to other less thermally efficient systems. This allows the maximum amount of glass and an increased feeling of light and space while opening a room to the world.
